How To Calculate OAU Aggregate Cut Off Mark (Score)
Calculating Your Score
Have you ever thought about how to calculate OAU aggregate off Mark score is?
OAU aggregate cut of mark is the total score that Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) uses to figure out if you can get admitted. It’s made up of your UTME score and your Post-UTME screening score combined.
Let’s look at how to calculate OAU aggregate score:
Step 1: Start by dividing your UTME score by 8. Then,
Step 2: Calculate your O’level points and divide by 5
Step 3: Divide your post-UTME score by 2.
Step 4: Add those three results together.
O’level Points
A1-10 points
B2-9 points
B3-8 points
C4-7 points
C5-6 points
C6-5 points
For instance, if your UTME score is 240, and you your post-UTME score is 50:
UTME Score: 220 Post-UTME Score: 50, Assuming in your 5 compulsory Subjects you have B2 in English, A1 in Mathematics, Physics B2, Chemistry B3, Biology C5
Step 1: UTME Quotient = 240 ÷ 8 = 30
Step 2: 9+10+9+8+6 = 42 /5 =8.4
Step 3: Post-UTME Quotient = 50 ÷ 2 = 25
Step 4: Now, combine the two quotients:
Aggregate Score = 30 + 8.4 + 25 = 63.4
Therefore, your OAU aggregate score would be 63.4
This is the score OAU uses to check if you’re eligible for admission.
